Archiving articles
Archiving allows you to place articles you dont currently need but might need again in the Article archive. For example, if your group has an annual or monthly event, you can create the article and when the event is over, you can archive it and resurrect it for the next event - making changes to the dates, times, etc. To archive an article, go to the main article bank window, and click the word Archive next to the article you want to store. When an article is archived, it is moved into the "Article archive" bank and removed from any posting on the live site as well as the drop-down menu of available articles. To access the article archive, click Article archive on the Site manager navigation bar (right next to the Article bank link). You have two options in the Article archive - to delete the article or to restore it. When you 'restore' an article, it is moved back into the article bank under 'unassigned articles.' The editor/admin can then edit and assign the article it to a page. NOTE: You must restore an article to the Article bank in order to edit the article.
Deleting articles
To delete an article, click Delete next to the article in either the main Article bank or Article archive page to permanently remove the article from the database. A dialog is displayed requiring confirmation that you want to delete the selected article. If you want to continue with the delete action, click OK to return to the Article list with the selected article removed from the list. If you do not want to continue with the delete action, click Cancel to return to the Article list with no changes.
