Items designated to specific positions are displayed on the live page in the same order they are displayed in the page editor. Once you have assigned more than one position to a column, a Move up link is displayed below the second position. Click this link to move the associated article, link, or slideshow up by one position on the page. If you have multiple columns on the page, there will also be options to move the item left and right.
