Page bank basics

To display the Page bank, click Page bank in the site manager navigation bar. The CMT page bank is a list of all pages that have been created for your site. This list displays the following information:

  • Last update - the date of the most recent page modifications
  • Page ID - a page reference number that is stored in the site database. A page can be linked within the site based on its ID (see Create links in articles in Chapter 3 for more information about linking specific pages).
  • Title - the title provided by the individual who created the page.
  • Description - the description provided by the individual who created the page and a handy reminder of the page content.
  • Template - the format that is used to display the page content.
  • Menu - the menu to which this page has been assigned. Each page may be assigned to multiple menu items. If this is the case, all associated menu items are displayed. If no menu name is displayed, the page has not been assigned to any menu items.
You may sort the page bank display by clicking a heading for the trait you want to sort by. The page will reload with the pages sorted by the header you chose.

Managing your pages from the page bank display

Sort the list

You may sort the page bank display by clicking a heading in the list header. The page will reload with the pages sorted by the header you chose.

Change the page associated with a menu item

To change the page associated with any menu item, click the menu name. This will display the Menu editor with the selected menu highlighted. You can then choose a different page from the Display page pull-down menu.

Edit a page

To edit the page content, click the page title. This displays the selected page in the Page editor. You may then change the page attributes or update assigned content. For more information on what these specific page traits mean and how to change them, see the "Creating a new page" section of this guide.

Delete a page

To delete a page, click Delete in the main Page bank list. A dialog is displayed requiring confirmation that you want to delete the selected page. If you want to continue with the delete action, click OK to return to the page bank with the selected page deleted. If you do not want to continue with the delete action, click Cancel to return to the page bank with no changes. NOTE: Deleting a page does not delete the content that was assigned to the page. Site content may only be deleted from the Article bank, the Form bank, and the Slideshow bank. You will need to reassign any article, slideshow form and/or other page links that link to a deleted page!
